Frequently Asked Questions
What qualifications or pre-requisites are required?
Students are requested to have one of the following pre-requisites to qualify for enrolment into a program at YVR Aesthetic Training & Study Centre:
1. You are a technician who has graduated from a laser training institute; or
2. You are an aesthetician who has completed an aesthetics diploma or program; or
3. You are a technician with over 2 years of work experience with lasers or energy based devices
How are students evaluated?
Each course contains a didactic, demonstration, hands-on, review and technical and written examination. Learners will participate in discussions and assessments to be able to determine whether a patient would be a candidate for a treatment. Students will be marked on knowledge as well as their technique and skills when performing a treatment.
Students should complete all pre-requisites and fundamentals to provide them with the knowledge needed to not only excel as a technician but also to cross-market treatments.

Do I have to attend classes in person?
Students are expected to have regular attendance to their classes at YVR Aesthetic Training and Study Centre. 85% of classes must be attended for completion of any program.
